When I founded Rain or Shine Canine, I wanted to create something more than just a dog training business—I wanted to build a resource for families who truly care about doing right by their dogs.
After nearly two decades in office administration, I decided to follow the passion that had always been there: helping animals and the people who love them. What began as a personal dream has grown into a trusted, science-based training practice here on St. Simons Island, GA, serving families who want compassionate, professional guidance from someone who understands what it’s like to live with a dog that doesn’t always make things easy.
I specialize in helping families with puppies, adolescent dogs, and behavior challenges—everything from house training and socialization to fear, anxiety, and reactivity. I stay active in continuing education so my methods stay current with the latest behavior science and ethics in dog training.

Why I Get It and Care So Much
I know firsthand how frustrating it can be when your dog’s behavior feels out of control. I’ve had dogs who struggled with fireworks fears, car anxiety, and overexcitement around guests—and I remember the stress that came with trying to help them.
Through those experiences, I learned that success isn’t about “fixing” a dog—it’s about understanding them. That’s why I approach every family with empathy, patience, and humor. I’ve seen how a few small changes, rooted in positive reinforcement and clear communication, can completely transform life at home.
