After doing a lot of research and interviews of trainers, I selected Rain or Shine Canine. I had never trained nor had any experience in training a dog. The only thing I did know was I did not want "Shock Collar" training. I wanted a positive experience for our puppy. Kate asked me what I wanted the dog to achieve. We decided on a seven one hour session schedule. Kate came to our home which I liked because it was a familiar environment to our puppy. Kate would demonstrate several times and have me copy. She would point out little movements that were important in the training. Basically, Kate was training me. Bottom line, our male Sheltie puppy responded beautifully to the training and he will do all I asked Kate to teach me. Our puppy responds to all verbal and hand signal commands, happily, tail wagging. Thank you Kate!

“I was referred to Rain or Shine Canine by my vet to work on behavior modification with my two Havenese. I am so pleased to have met Kate. She is knew immediately how to "fix" the behaviors. She worked with the dogs, gave me written instructions at the end of the session and also took videos as we were training.The transformation has been exceptional!
I have had my dogs board with Kate. I felt so comfortable leaving my dogs in her care. She took them for walks, played in the yard and of course, provided training. Additionally, she sent videos of them at play. They really had a great time and did not want to leave!

“From the first visit Kate and my 2-month-old Maltese puppy, Fable, connected immediately. Fable would get so excited to see Kate and be so sad when she left. After each session Kate would send a follow-up email. Which included helpful links to products, additional support, puppy socialization classes, and examples about what we talked about during the session. Kate really listened to my concerns, so each session was tailored to focus on things that Fable and I had been struggling with since the last session.
